All year round, the Valley de la Vésubie offers a large choice of activities.
The village La Bollène Vésubie is only 5 minutes away from the hotel, there you will find the sports and cultural facilities.
The Tennis Court will soon be reopened after a complete make-over and will stay open until 10 pm during the high season, beside you can enter a large outdoor swimming pool with a panoramic view over the Alps, and through the streets you will come across a few friendly bars and restaurants with terraces where to relax…

Also, at the centre of the village, the Multimedia Centre offers a large choice of programmes, films, cartoons, live shows, as well as live broadcasting of the major's sports events. It also has live broadcasting of concerts and musical events happening in the auditorium Nikaia in Nice.
The library is open to all and offers more than 5.000 books in French.The Entomology museum, holds Doctor Hansen's impressive collection of butterflies and coleopterons insects from all over the world.
12 km away from the hotel, you will find the family resort of Turini-Camp d'Argent open for skiing in winter and for hiking in summer, a little further you come across the Col of Turini, well know for hosting a stage of the Monte-Carlo Rally every winter.
Two others Rallies are being hosted in the area, the Jean Behra Rally and the South Alps Rally.
Having a southern exposure the resort Turini-Camp d'Argent benefits from an exceptional climate and a magnificent view over the Riviera and on a clear day Corsica can be visable.
You can also ride through the Mercantour with a few Mercantour Horse Riding Centres who organise pony treks in the National Mercantour Park.
The hiking path GR52 goes through the Turini forest, Massif de l'Authion and the Mercantour Park. The Vésubie valley offers a large choice of beacon tracks, accessible all year round for every type of hiker.
You can also practice mountain biking with more than 100 Km tracks accessible by mountain bikes; you can rent them from a few places in the Vésubie Valley.
Canyoning is also very popular in the river La Vésubie, here are the 3 most popular Canyoning places along the Vésubie River. From an area named Suquet in the Vallon de l'Infernet, which has got a strong asset with an impressive toboggan ending in a circular basin.
The Riou de la Bollène at the bottom of the Turini forest, a very aquatic going down path with a few jumps and flyovers.
The Vallon de Bagnolar, is a canyon with a succession of waterfalls and basins hemmed in at the bottom of a narrow gorge, this site offers some very impressive waterfalls descents.

If climbing is a hobby, the Via Ferrata du Baus de la Frema, 15 minutes away from Le Grand Hotel du Parc outside the village La Colmiane, is a 5 hour climbing track. The equipment can be rented beside the starting point of the Via Ferrata.
In between climbing and hiking this is an alpine track, equipped with wire cables, slopes and rungs. Different tracks are accessible according to the climber abilities.

The farm's flavour of la Vésubie

In the Vésubie Valley, there naturally grows a rich and tender grass. For several centuries, the farmers have developed a pastoral activity in cheese making. Every step in the process is carried out in cheese diary farms set high up in the pastures, called Vacheries. The Vésubie cheeses, which are made out of cow's, goat's or ewe's milk, are made most of the time with raw milk and heated over a wood fire.
